What Is CHARACTER COUNTS!?

CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely implemented approach to character education, reaching millions of youth. CHARACTER COUNTS! is a framework based on basic values called the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

How is CHARACTER COUNTS implemented at Hardin-Central?

Each month, students learn about and exhibit one of the Six Pillars of Character.

  • October: Respect
  • November: Responsibility
  • December-January: Trustworthiness
  • February: Fairness
  • March: Caring
  • April: Citizenship
  • May: All-Around Good Character
